The man is brilliant. He gave me hope to save my vision. Where I had always been afraid of going to bed and waking up blind since I was little. He removed scar tissue from a surgery I should never of had, due to macular degeneration. The "other eye surgeon" just got $ not sharing my condition. Or that the surgery would make the treatment for mac deg, not a option for me. But Dr Westfield explained it all to me. Taking time to to speak it in English til I understood what I had, what I could do to prevent early blindness and as i said lifted a 40 yr cloud of darkness I feared. He is semi retired but I beg, til I get a very rare appt with him now. When he retires all the way. I will be very very upset.

I can honestly say that Dr.Westfield and his staff are truely and absolutely made up of the kindest and most considerate people. They have gone above and beyond what I consider to be a reasonable expectation from a "doctors visit." On my first visit I was informed that I needed emergency surgery that day. His staff called and made the necessary arrangements to have Medicaid approve the surgery within 15 minutes and the procedure was completed within the hour and ultimately saved me from TOTAL BLINDNESS!!!
Furthermore Dr. Westfield is one of the nicest persons I have the privilege of having as my Opthalmologist. In his spare time he travels to third world countries and provides free services to the impoverished and has over thirty eight years experience in the field. His office is state of the art and he has surrounded himself with an incredible staff that has been more than accommodating to my needs whether it be faxing important documentation to Social Security or adjusting scheduled appointments to better fit my transportation situation. Plainly stated, if your having issues with your vision Dr. Westfield is a true champion in his field and devoted to his profession and I recommend him completely.
In closing I find it important to state in the interest of transparency that I am in no way affiliated to Dr. Westfield other than as a patient that is fortunate enough to have him as my Opthalmologist.?
