“Ivy is truly a gifted woman. I had an over the phone call with her which led to a lot of information about my future, and the type of energy I have. “To start with, I live in Alaska and was being treated locally for a thumb injury that still had not healed properly 6+ months later. I reached out to a friend looking for a second opinion, I didn't care where it was, I would fly anywhere as long as I could get this issue fixed. I was recommended Doctor Bronstein. I flew down to have a consultation with him, and I am so grateful I did- he was very knowledgeable and very honest about what needed to happen and the possible outcome. When I found out I needed surgery, I knew it was going to be a huge commitment on my part to fly down and stay for a few weeks while I healed and did PT. As hard as it was for my business, the financial cost, my family, etc, to pick up and leave for almost 3 weeks, it was well worth it. “I made an appointment early in the morning for same day. I arrived about five minutes early, checked in at the reception desk and she offered me water while I waited. (The peanuts are a cool, unique touch.) It only took about five minutes and I was seated. Brando was great.💯 He asked what I wanted to do with my hair, took a bit to listen and then even give some suggestions. I am very happy with the haircut and feel the time was well spent. It was about $45 and totally felt worth it too.”

“If you're new in town, please come here first and skip some of the dirty, fungal swamps doing business around town! Ours had nothing but contempt for us as they constantly rescheduled our appointments and sent us adventuring miles across town to accommodate them and their "doctors". When I grew some self -respect and had had enough I made an appointment with Dr. Shin. We were in trouble at this point due to our shabby treatment at the Swamp and seeing out of only one eye is not only inconvenient but hazardous. Dr. Shin took us right in and made room for us. We had a thorough and lengthy eye exam by a friendly technician named Jackie and I started to relax a little; maybe Vegas has real doctors after all... Then Dr. Shin came in the room! WoW!!! This attractive, well -heeled woman was full of happiness and energy despite the time being well past 5 pm. She took her time with us despite this and we didn't leave her office until after 6... REALLY??? It was stunning being treated like this after what we had been through! I pulled in an unmanly tear as we said goodbye as it was so nice to be treated like a person again! When we came back three days later the improvement was NIGHT AND DAY and off came the patch!!! Dr. Shin adopted us as new patients and really took care of us... she also agreed to do a tricky procedure that most doctors don't do! If you want a REAL doctor who cares and does things right (for complete strangers) look no further!”

Before we were able to head home to Texas (while my spouse was in the hospital due to mentioned accident), I was able to receive treatment here to help relieve some of the pain and soreness from my injuries. “My wife is the Culinary Union's primary member, so we have our medical coverage through her union membership. The Culinary Health Fund does a fine job of supporting its members with medical coverage. That said, not being the affiliate member myself, I'm not entirely sure about their "entire" function, so I am reviewing it based strictly on the name "health fund." The insurance or coverage itself is okay, nothing spectacular, but also nothing subpar either. When the Culinary Health Center opened its doors a few years ago at 650 N. Nellis Blvd., that's where I think the fund shines. If you choose the right medical practitioner(s) for yourself, this is pretty good health care overall. Maybe I've been lucky, but I feel that virtually all my medical needs have been met pretty well through the center. Nowadays, it is incumbent upon you to make sure that you receive the care you need to get the most out of "any" health insurance, not just the Culinary Health Fund. Never sit back and "accept' everything said to you without questions if you don't understand or agree. Your questions will assure you of a better understanding of your medical situation. RECOMMENDED: Yes SERVICE: Good PRICE: N/A COVID: Practices a high level of pandemic regulations. PARKING: Adequate and convenient. REASON/INTENT: Medical, dental, and eye care”
