Always professional. Once and awhile a tech will rush set up and then misses a stick ( or hit a tendon). Great program to give back to society and make extra grocery money, especially being on a fixed income.
Update: I have been at this 4 months, donating 1-2 times per week. Ive had a tendon hit once, and the last session, I had both arm veins blown. Both times it happened when the center was unusually busy. Both times I told the tech to slow down, there's no rush. I have been an EMT for 25 years, I get infiltration occasionally happens, but...
I suggest quality control stress one person at a time and take your time with that one person.
I think I'm 1:10 for a bad stick. That's a 10% fail rate... definitely room for improvement.
Update: 5/3 now their donor hub is glitchy. Twice it let me book appointments only to have them cancelled when I got to the facility.
It's an hour drive for me. But if this keeps up, I'm tapping out.
Very friendly and comforting staff. Make sure your comfortable during the process and everything goes well. Bring something little warm as it does get little cold. Awesome place!
It is always very clean; and the staff is so friendly and personable. They do their best to make everyone feel comfortable and taken care of, and are very personable. I would definitely recommend them and encourage everyone to go!! And you make money doing it, so why not?!?
I’ve been donating since October and everyone at this location is extremely helpful and professional. I did have one instance where my donation took hours due to issues with the needle not hitting the vein correctly, but I was monitored closely and the evening supervisor was finally able to position the needle to draw accurately. Admittedly I was a little nervous to return, but was given attentive care by the 12/13 7AM staff and my reassurance has returned. I feel so confident in the quality of every member of the Carson City staff. Thank you so much for providing this level of care!
everyone in the staff is so incredibly kind, donating is always a relaxing and easy process w the people that work there. they all should be recognized for their wonderful work and efficiency. i was nervous to start donating and had plans on stopping after paying school off, but i don’t think i’ll ever stop. i’ll miss them too much. highly suggest this place to anyone considering donating
