The owner Ben has been fantastic everytime I have gone to his shop. He is honest, strait forward, and has some of the best rates in the area if not the lowest. I highly recommend going to Innovative Automotive!

Ben helped get my 7.3l and my family back on the road. In one crank of the engine he knew what was wrong; one or more cracked injector cups and some bad glow plugs. Turns out it was just a few more things and he let me know needs vs. Shoulds then had me make the choice. I was pleased with his thoroughness and his after repair advice. Wish I lived closer (Las Vegas area) so I could continue services with him, though I may just have to make the drive for my next major servicing.

To start - how has this shop not been reviewed yet?! Here's a long one for ya.

I called Ben after hearing from a friend of a friend that HIS friend is good and is a certified tech. Yeah we hear that a lot right? We had been working on a jeep that summer and we needed some input on the transmission removal process. Ben was super informative and gave us all the info we needed! It was great!

Fast forward to about a year later when I need my cab mount bushings replaced on my '06 Tacoma:

I usually do my own work on my Tacoma but after seeing how I don't have enough of the right equipment to do this myself, I decided I needed a shop. I called a few places to get a feel of the shops around me. The shops I called were either not very friendly or told me that they don't normally do it, but COULD. That didn't make me feel too comfortable.

About a day later, I was cleaning business cards out of my wallet and found one that Ben's friend gave me. I called up Ben's shop, Innovative Automotive, and got a hold of him. I hadn't talked with him in a year and I forgot how professional and amiable he was. It's a super rare quality for mechanics to have as most I've spoken with are kind of gruff and don't display good customer service qualities. I mentioned my bushings. While other shops gave me some kind of push back, Ben immediately said he's done MANY on rock crawlers and street vehicles and that it wouldn't be a problem. I could hear the positivity in his voice and I was immediately happy I'd called. He gave me his rates of $95 and hour which is SUPER reasonable. I set up my appointment and got into his shop a week later. The same afternoon I took it in, I got a call and was told to come on down and pick it up! He went over the one seized bolt that he had to take more time on than usual which totally happens so I completely understood! The price still came out to less than I expected so I was super stoked. I went down that afternoon, saw my truck sitting out front and went over the work myself before going into the shop. I loved what I saw. The bushings looked beautiful and were snuggly squished to the right "squishyness". I went inside and inquired about some extra work I wanted done and Ben was glad to look up rates for me. He'll even press in wheel studs of different sizes into my hubs while other shops won't. He's the mechanic and fab shop I need. I paid my dues and hopped in the truck. It rides like a dream! I forgot how nice the inside of the cab can feel with new bushings. I'm SO happy with Ben's work and can't wait to get more work done by him. Perfect 5/5 - would easily recommend.

TLDR: If you're anywhere in the area and need some quality work, these guys are one of the best shops around. They're friendly and do excellent work.
