Wonderful Church. Old pipe organ, choir sounded great ! Father's homily was clear and understandable. Make sure and visit the Museum. Also there is a wine sold in the gift shop that benefits the upkeep of the Church.
The chardonnay is really good.

Beautiful Catholic church in Virginia city. It's a must see if traveling to or through this old historic town.

Of all the tours we did in Virgina City Pat our tour guide at St. Mary's museum, was by far the most knowledgeable. He also does tours at the Sutro Tunnel. My wife and I really enjoyed our time here. The church is beautiful and very peaceful. Since Virginia City was full of Irish Catholic minners the churches history is really a great place to get a history of the city.

This church is gorgeous inside and out. I loved the ceiling beams the most. The wood beams are really a work of art. There's a gift shop at the entrance where you can buy postcards or candles to light. A museum in the basement that's really cool to see with a lot of old photos and memorabilia.
