The boardwalk was beautiful. The spring flowers are a sight to see. The forests have this mystery about them that intrigues your wonder for the unkown. I would highly recommend this hike to anyone.
I really like this trail! The views, the wild flowers, nice shaded areas along the trail, and much cooler than many trails at this time of the year.
Small sledding area with ample amount of parking available. Perfect for novice shedders and small kids. Possibility of entering roadway does exist if you go high enough and without much experience maneuvering the sled. Had a great time even though kids initially didn’t want to get out of the car - the up and down got em warm and a quick snowball fight in the end was a good way to end the fun.
Did the hike to the falls this weekend...beautiful views, great nature, but trail was covered with patches of snow, so you can't know where the trail is...I got sidetracked few times, if not for phone and google map, I am not sure if I could do it....not marking of trail at all, at the end by fall few signs....so be careful, give yourself plenty of time and hike with someone...I was alone and met only 1 person after about 1hour from parking lot. Took me 4hrs round trip with stopping for photos and climbing on my 4 in snow few steep slopes...this was pretty exhausting hike, but I am sure if there is no snow and you can see nice trail it will be much more fun.
Great well marked hike, from the parking lot to the waterfall it is about 2.5 miles and I'd say it is a easy/moderate incline. After the waterfall it gets pretty tough. The pictures posted on in chronological order about every 10-20 minutes. The top has a great view but the last stretch is pretty tough. Definitely start the hike early to beat the heat.
