  My son and I have been students for a couple of months. It has been a great experience and I appreciate how Sensei Nick runs his dojo.

  My guess is that if you are interested in Martial Arts training for you or a child, the main question you would have is something like "How do I know if the instructor is legitimate?" Nicholas Savery can trace his lineage DiRECTLY to the founder of Kyokushin. His lineage is as direct and solid as any on planet Earth(for real). In addition to being a thorougly trained, vetted and competetent instructor, he is also a world-class competitor in both Kata and Kumite. If you want a gold star for putting your uniform on correctly, this is not the place for you. If you want to learn, train and follow the Kyokushin way(and it ain't an easy), this is one of the very best to be found anywhere.

  My daughter started at the end of April of this year. I told her I signed her up for a few sessions and she wasn't happy.... She absolutely loves it now and wants to be in class even on her off days!!! She really takes it seriously and takes pride in what she learns. Nick is a really great instructor and is wonderful with the kids. He boosts their confidence and lets them know that making mistakes is key to learning in karate and in life. We're so glad she is a part of this Dojo!! Highly recommended!!

  Excellent school. Highly skilled Sensei and students. Authentic karate, and very technical, not just a crash course. You not only learn the techniques, but also develop useful skills and learn how to use it in real time

  It is a privilege to learn from a technically superior instructor who is passionate about teaching and helping his students succeed. I consider myself blessed to have found Meikyo Dojo and to continue my Kyokushin studies. If you are seeking a great balance of self-discipline, self-motivation, mutual respect, and physical stamina/health through a fantastic Martial Art then Meikyo Dojo is where you should study.
