“Finally stopped by this place after years of driving by and never stopping. I only gave it four stars because I could not find a sign that labeled the cemetery. However, it’s currently fall and I got the most beautiful environment to take in!”

“Popular with ghost hunters and ghost hunting isn’t popular with abutting neighbors. It’s a hangout for alcoholics to meet-up after dark also. This is an over-looked cemetery, perhaps because only one of the three entrances have signs with the name of Evergreen. I think technically it is two different entities. The newer southern section was donated to the City and had its own board of directors though it is maintained by the City of Nashua. The older northern part contains a landmark stone with a plaque. Beware of the poison ivy along the sides. The most distinguishing feature is the huge white oak (see photo). There are other interesting species of trees such as an old Norway Spruce, a White Mulberry, box elder maples, white cedars, sugar maple, and very unfortunately, rows of invasive Norway Maples. This wasn’t a church cemetery so the stones aren’t as religious or ornate as those of church cemeteries or larger burial grounds. There isn’t much conformity in design, which makes for an interesting tour of the grounds. The city is great about letting mourners decorate plots as they wish and allowing planting around the headstones. When it is time to mow the grass the plants and decorations are carefully avoided. Evergreen is a great place to tour, spend quiet time alone, ride bicycles on the asphalt paths, and teach children about history and respect. In Autumn tourists take photos here. The slope of the land and diversity of trees is a beautiful scene.”

“Parking and index of the lots and names can be found at the entrance that is located at the Main Street/South Main Street intersection.”

“So much history here. Pretty much the center of town yet so dead quiet.... (See what I did there?) But if you are a history buff like myself you will enjoy the gravesites and the stories which come with them. Overall the graveyard is well kept with most the stones upright and legible.”

“A small yard and out of the way. Nice looking stone for what ever you build. Don't know about the prices. Common sense says call”

“Transparent and honest! This is the first time I sought help in the yard, and now so glad I took that leap. From being greeted by Maggie the little dog wagging her tail to Paul being upfront on pricing and accomadating my wacky schedule. Paul returned my call quickly and was able to get me on the schedule in less than 2 days. Getting a contractor to show up is half the battle, so I was delighted when that dump truck turned the corner 15 minutes early. Out of the driver seat energetically jumps the owner, I almost fell over. Lane was kind, patient, and full of love for the outdoors. I love my home and he willingly shared his attention to detail as if it were his own. If what we looked like by the time it was done, wasn't evidence of a perfect choice, my place being more beautiful than ever before is! So glad I chose to go straight through the light and down the hill... you made my day, and for that I thank you!!!”
