“If you are a bird watcher or nature lover, this is the place for you. There is an 8 mile loop road that allows you to drive out into the bay and spot many birds in various habitats. Recommend starting at the information center for recommendations on recent sightings. This area is very seasonal and weather dependent. In Summer green flies can make being outside unbearable. Winter can be raw and windy. In Fall you might be lucky enough to spot many species of migrating birds. Recommend patience and at a minimum good binoculars. Experienced birders will bring spotting scopes and cameras with long lenses.”

“I had my reception at Fred and Ethel’s. And I can tell anybody getting married and looking for a place, hands down, best place ever. It’s perfect! It’s all about the people, they are, by far, the nicest, sweetest, most helpful and accommodating staff I have ever encountered. The food was amazing, the banquet room was great! My wedding was in the dead of winter, coldest day ever, they had the fire place going. Made for awesome pictures. It was so fun! Best night of my life at the best place ever! I asked my husband if we could just do it again for fun. Everybody should go here. They’re crab cake sandwiches, to die for! I love Fred and Ethel’s!”

“I was looking for a late night bite while staying at the Marriott vacation club. I did a quick search and this place came up. They do serve food until midnight, but be aware that it is fried food only. we had wings and steak fries and mozzarella sticks. The wings were pretty good. I didn’t care for the other two. The full menu is probably much better. I saw several items I would have like to try like the mushroom risotto. I also had a beer and a shot and a mixed drink. The service was OK. The bartender who took our order didn’t check on us very often but several others did. There was a live band that night which seem to be pretty popular. This place seems like a very casual neighborhood bar that is good for drinks morrso then food. I’m glad they were open late though as this area seems to be pretty quiet.”
