(September 23, 2018, 9:54 pm)This place is run by Japanese family, it is as close to authentic as you will find outside of Japan. I have been to Japan many times so I’m not just making this up. The fish is super fresh, the service is very attentive. Place is simple and cozy. We have eaten in and taken out, both excellent.

There are many ""Japanese"" restaurants in the area, but Umeya is the only one where i felt it was authentic. Many of these other so called restaurants are run by chinese or korean but umeya is different. From the interior to the food everything just says Japanese. The sushi chefs are especially great.
