(September 8, 2019, 10:35 am)Only the best thin crust pizza in New Jersey. I'm second generation patron. One of the best lessons my folks taught me, you want pie, go to Pizza Town. Eat in or take out, birch beer on tap. Lots more than just pizza, if that's what you want. But try a slice.
(June 19, 2019, 6:12 pm)Fun to visit for the experience. Many people have nostalgia for this spot, others enjoy the novelty value of visiting a famous local landmark. The shop has a unique, vintage aesthetic that hasn't changed over the years. It's an ideal spot to grab food late on a warm summer night. Perfect for a casual date.
That being said, the food is only alright, in my opinion. The pizza is good, not great. Their famous fried calzones are very small, very spongy, and contain very little ricotta and even less mozzarella (if any).
Fun place to make a pilgrimage to, but not a place i would regularly order dinner from.
