Emerson Health and Rehabilitation Center

I’m so pleased with Emerson Health and Rehab. From checking in, social workers, front end but most importantly the nursing staff, aides, dieticians, cleaners, and the behind the scene staffs! I have a dear friend in long term care here and another in short term care. And bravo for being a beautiful healing place. I love the fact it is not a corporate drop zone but a family owned business where the patients are number 1.

The health care workers and support staff are highly skilled. My mom was admitted twice to this facility and each time was a remarkable experience. Mom passed away at Emerson and my sister's and I will forever remember the profound sympathy from the people who cared for her. I can highly recommend Emerson Health & Rehab.

Throughout my mother's three stays at the facility, especially during her final days, they exhibited a level of compassion and attentiveness that surpassed my expectations.

If you find yourself hesitating to entrust the long-term care of a loved one to a nursing home due to negative reports or hearsay about neglect, lack of attention, subpar medical care, unappetizing food, or limited activities, I encourage you to think differently when it comes to Emerson Health. The staff and management consistently go above and beyond to ensure that each resident receives the highest level of care, and they make it a priority to provide a fulfilling daily routine filled with engaging activities and ample social interactions.

My mother was a fiercely independent individual who fought to maintain her autonomy despite her declining health. If you are reading this review, it's likely because you are grappling with the challenging decision of providing care at home or opting for a nursing home placement. Reflecting on the quality of life my mother experienced at Emerson Health, I deeply regret not considering this option earlier.

Based on my personal experience, I wholeheartedly recommend that you seriously consider Emerson Health as it may be the optimal choice for both your family member and yourself as a caretaker.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to management and all the staff at Emerson facility for the exemplary care and treatment given to two of my family members. After disturbing experiences at two other facilities, I found Emerson to be exactly what we were looking for. The atmosphere is welcoming, residents look and are well cared for and always treated with respect and dignity. They are encouraged to socialize with others to achieve and maintain an optimal quality of life. There is a good selection of activities and the food is more than decent. We were able to leave after visiting feeling comfortable knowing our family members were in the next best place if they couldn't be home with us. We were able to leave with a clear conscience knowing they were in your care.
Now that both have passed on, no words to thank you enough for the care you provided in the last years of their life. You made one of the hardest decisions in our lives a little bit easier and for that we are truly grateful.
I would highly recommend Emerson to anyone without any reservations.

The staff here get 5 stars!! During my visits to my mom (which were every day for 2 weeks) all of the staff were very attentive, answered all questions, and addressed all concerns. Nurses aids, nurses, PT and OT all did a great job.
My mom is not very picky and does not like to complain much. But here are her areas of dislike; The rooms were a bit dated, plain but functional, 2 patients to a room, luck of the draw who you are next to. At first she was placed in a room with a woman who played the tv at high volume! My mom would not have survived there. She complained and was given a different room.
My mother said the bed was too hard and had difficulty sleeping. The food was very mediocre, and my mom did not always eat all of it.
All in all, we would use Emerson again, because it has a very convenient location for the family and the care was very good.
