Big Bowls Little Plates - Paramus

All the food we’ve had so far was delicious every single time. People who work there are friendly and polite. Great place.

Ordered a Vegetarian bowl while I was shopping at H-Mart. Kinda expensive, but it was quite good.I would definitely go again.

It is located inside H Mart, at the food court was called Market Eatery Food Hall, with a good amount of seating.

We got General Taos Chicken Dumpling, Pork Belly Buns, and Cajun Pork Chop with Fried Rice. Dumplings were meaty, not very spicy at all, and didn’t have much of General Taos Chicken flavor, which was disappointing. Buns were sweet and tangy, with a little kick to it that comes later. Very tasty. Cajun Pork Chop had a great marinate flavor with loads of spices. Packed with flavor and super filling!

We went back again a few weeks later for more! We got Stuffed Shiitake Mushrooms, Pecking Raviolis, and Short Rib French Onion with Lo Mein. Shiitake were just a-ok. It didn’t have as much flavor. Raviolis with spicy Szechuan sauce was spicy! It was more like wonton than ravioli though.

Short Rib French Onion came with their version of French Onion Soup, or more of a broth. We asked the staff if we were supposed to pour the soup in the bowl, and he said we don’t need to. A bit confusing…we decided not to pour the soup in the bowl. A bit on a salty side but nice flavor.

The ribs were huge, super tender and juicy, melt in your mouth. Tangy and sweet sauce, it was excellent! Lo Mein was fat and chewy in a good way. We really enjoyed it!

The both visits were mostly positive. We definitely enjoyed the big bowl dish, the side dish can be a hit of miss. But overall, they were tasty, the potion was good, and the price was right.

One of our favorite go-to lunch spots (cafeteria-style) located inside H Mart. Service here is always friendly and the food is consistently fresh and delicious. Love going lo-carb with the spicy seafood bowl or tuna tartare over greens, super tasty and very satisfying. Easy parking and nice to stop by the Tous Les Jours bakery (also inside H Mart) for delicious tea with honey to soothe that winter sore throat that hangs on too long. Haven’t tried the sweets but everything looks delicious! -H.W.

Big Bowl Little Plates is a great fast casual concept, with prices and flavors to match. The service exceeded my expectations for a cafeteria style restaurant. Bobby our server went the extra mile and checked in on us and gave us something extra for the baby. I'll definitely be coming back and bringing friends. Thanks for the great experience, BBLP!
