Empowered PT

Dr. Bishoy knows his stuff. I recently completed a through hike of the John Muir Trail. I came home with so many adventures and memories but I also came home with a case of plantar facetious. Dr. Bishoy diagnosed it immediately and gave me several exercises to begin the retraining process. He spends as much time as needed during sessions to make sure you understand your condition and also gives “homework” so you can have an active role in your recovery and prevention of further issues. I felt very empowered as I left. On top of the treatment he is a really compassionate person. I would highly recommend empowered PT.

“In the spring of 2020, I received a grim diagnosis about my knee. I started to have knee pain and discomfort and my range of motion was decreasing as well as pain going up and down the stairs. I went to see a knee specialist/surgeon who told me that my knee is in a bad shape and my only options are anti-inflammatory pills now and double knee replacement in 10 years.
This was devastating to a mother of three children who also liked to hike, bike, and cook for family and friends. I started to withdraw from the things I love and felt worried about my family.
I began to look for help and explore the option of Physical Therapy. I was very fortunate to find Empowered PT and to work with Bishoy. He spent a lot of time listening to me and understanding what the issue was. He reassured me that with the right exercises and movements, I was going to get better. We started small with exercises I was comfortable with then we progressed overtime. I started to feel better and was encouraged to do more exercise at home.
After few months of working with Empowered PT and at home, I am now able to do so much more. My pain and discomfort have subsided. My range of motion is almost back to normal. I can go up and down the stairs without thinking, I can plan activities with my kids and I can cook and host dinners, as I always loved to do. My knee is no longer holding me back.
At Empowered PT, you will learn that your greatest asset and best healing tool is your OWN BODY. They are very knowledgeable and professional. I am forever grateful for what they have done for me.

This gym has a lot of very good equipment and the trainers are very knowledgeable. They definitely know what they are talking about and I feel confident that I will achieve my goals because of this place. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone. Weather you're coming off an injury, an athlete, or just want to move better. They give you 1 on 1 care and really make sure that your problem is solved. 10/10

I went to Dr. Youssef with some shoulder pain and weakness that started affecting my work and my workouts. He helped me understand what was wrong and we started working to correct my muscle weakness and imbalances. This is not your average PT session with some massages. His goal was to give me long term relief and solutions to my pain, and after a few sessions I'm starting to notice the difference. Dr. Youssef listened to what was bothering me, explained everything he was doing, and makes every minute count. Excellent work!

Dr. Youssef is easily the most kind and compassionate physical therapist I have worked with to date. In addition to his interpersonal skills, his expertise as a physical therapist is unmatched. I've had serious issues with my knees since high school and have worked with a myriad of other therapists before landing on Dr. Youssef. While other, older, slightly more experienced therapists were able to give me relief for a few weeks to months, their "old-school", more traditional methods never afforded me lasting relief. Dr. Youssef takes the teachings of traditional PT and combines them with modern, innovative techniques that allow him to take your treatment to the next level. Since my initial sessions with Dr. Youssef, I have been pain free in both knees for nearly 3 years now. In fact, I was so satisfied with his work that I have found myself going back to him time and time again, even just for tips with my non-injury-related everyday workout routine. I highly HIGHLY recommend Dr. Youssef, if you're looking for a physical therapist that will get to the root of your issue and provide you with long-lasting relief. 5 stars!
