“Dr. Davis and her team are our "go to." When my daughter was suffering from shin splints in 2019, Dr. Davis's treatment modalities kept my daughter on the right track to heal and be patient with the process despite her insistent desire to be back on the soccer and soccer fields. Dr. Davis has a great rapport with her student athletes. Earlier this softball season, when overuse was bothering my daughter's arm, she was so worried about being sidelined. Instead, Dr. Davis was able to quickly identify what was triggering my daughter's arm pain and was able to give her a series of specific exercises that my daughter was able to do at home, which had a profound impact on making her feel better. She only attended one appointment and Dr. Davis personally called to check up on her, thrilled for her progress. Dr. Davis's knowledge, care, and commitment for female athletes is unmatched. She recognizes the fine balance of desire to play v. the athlete's injury and safety to play. “I cannot talk about Pinelands without smiling. I feel as though I have been given a second chance at life and it is a direct result of the entire Pinelands team/community. This is a place that educates you in things far beyond your substance abuse and prepares you to better manage your life. From the moment I arrived, the entire staff was so professional, knowledgeable, compassionate and caring. While at Pinelands, I no longer felt alone or like I was on an island. I didn’t feel judged, I felt safe and understood. The large groups, small groups, individual sessions, nursing/MD appointments, etc., all created an environment of openness and honesty- which allowed me (and all the other clients) daily opportunities to be vulnerable and explain how I was truly feeling, what my goals were, and the tools and strategies to practice and implement, so that I can accomplish those goals, among many other things. A common theme I heard while at Pinelands (which is 100% applicable to daily life,) is that—you get out what you put in. If you truly want to get better, then Pinelands is where you need to go. If you are on the fence, I strongly recommend reaching out to the admissions team to discuss how you’ve been feeling and determine whether this place is right for you. Personally, I felt as though I hit my emotional rock bottom and I was still scared to death in making the commitment to check into Pinelands, but that first step was the hardest and I can honestly say that it was the best and most rewarding decision I’ve ever made as it saved my life—and I wish the same for you. Oh, and the campus is beautiful, the facility and accommodations are clean and comfortable, and the food is outstanding.”
