Jersey Bents

Due to health issues that leave me unable to ride a traditional two wheel bicycle, I started investigating alternatives. I came across recumbent trikes, and was immediately intrigued. I then discovered Jersey Bents, and made contact with Larry. Due to the current pandemic situation, they were only taking appointments, but Larry quickly booked me for an appointment the following weekend.

Upon arriving, I was met by Larry and (later) Matthew, whom much to my comfort, were adorning masks. I went to the appointment knowing relatively little about recumbent trikes, but Larry slowly but surely began to show me the ropes. After testing a handful of trikes, I left with a sense of knowledge about recumbent trikes, and ultimately my own first recumbent trike. To say I am happy about the visit itself, and the outcome of the visit is an understatement. Larry is a very kind gentleman, and you can tell he loves this hobby. As an added plus, you also get to meet the shop mascot, Bacon (the lovable chocolate Labrador).

Matt and Larry were incredibly helpful! My brother has limitations following a stroke and the bike was altered to fit his needs. They gave him another level of independence. And he is out of here!

They have the knowledge and section you need to make decisions about recumbent biking. Easy going and very helpful. Make an appointment and you will get the chance to find out what bent biking is all about.

I traveled over two hours away to pick out a recumbent bike. Matt was awesome! I highly recommend making an appointment because the recumbents can be expensive and there are a lot of options and things you will want to go over. When I showed up late for my appointment there were also a 2 other customers there. Despite all the questions and each person jockeying for Matt ‘s attention he handled it great. Even while bringing in the inventory due to rain. He answered all my questions and was adamant that I was comfortable and educated about the cycle I was about to buy. My girlfriend had just went threw breast cancer and I wish the DOCTORS I dealt with were as patient, kind, and knowledge as some one ( not to belittle the profession ) selling recumbents. Even though it is kind of a luxury item it is a big Decision. Some are even like buying a car. This was the best service I’ve had in a long time and will definitely be back when I need another, no matter where they are located. Thank you Matt.
