I took a very expensive floor length gown to Whitman Cleaners for alterations. It had to be taken in and hemmed. She did an excellent job. Believe me I was sweating this alteration because the fabric was light and flowy and if not hemmed correctly it would ruin the fluidity of the dress. I was very very happy and I highly recommend Whitman Cleaners. I went there because my daughter and sister had very positive experiences too.
Never had a problem. Shirts are returned professionally cleaned and crisply pressed. Trousers always the same way. Their alterations have always been exactly as requested. Even though there are several other dry cleaning establishments in my area, I’ll stay with Whitman.
always great sevice. can get pretty much anything taken care of there. taper, hem, sew-ons, alterations, stain removal. one time I cut sleeves of a leather jacket and had them sewn on to a trench coat. it was $80.00, but it was worth it.
