“Stopped in for lunch while waiting for our check-in time. We were quickly seated and drinks were ordered. Their signature cocktails are great as are their handmade bloody marys. After 2 of them I was in no hurry to check-in. Lots of seafood on their menu and I believe each of us (6 people) got something different. Not sure which dish was the best as we all shared and enjoyed each one. Great place for a nice lunch and I hear it's a rock-in place in the evening.”

“Had breakfast here on our last day in Cape May. Parking was a bit of a challenge but it always is here. Wait time was only 20 minutes for a party of 6 which wasn't bad. They turn over the tables pretty quick. We were seated in a booth really meant for 4 adults and 2 children, not 6 adults. We all got very close that morning. Food was served so quickly we didn't think it was our order. Everything was hot and place in front of each person without the server asking who got the ???. I like that. Pancakes are so delicious here as are the omelets. Everything is fresh tasting and comes out hot. Great breakfast place.”

“Our family stayed in the Sand Castle which is a block from the beach and the house is large enough to host our combined families because is has two master suites and fit all the kids comfortably. While we were there, we hosted a family celebration in the large living area and outside on the deck. The rooms are bright and spacious. It is the perfect house for beach vacations and large parties. We had a great time here and we will be back soon.”

“For Cape May, this is likely the best hotel as far as location, views, cleanliness and friendliness of staff. I'm not giving it 5 stars only because I've been in 5 star hotels, and this isn't one. While the rooms are upgraded, the outside and common areas leave something to be desired on aesthetics. The walls are thin so if every room was sold out, I'm sure the noise from the hallway would keep me awake. If we came back, we would likely stay here again. The restaurant is nice and the pool looks clean, albeit small.”

“We recently stayed at Periwinkle Inn after doing lots of research on other hotels in the area. Honestly, on arrival the rear of the building was not appealing but not many are... the front is very nice but once you get inside we were very happy! this charming boutique hotel had a great layout and beautiful garden area, the clean and inviting pool area, the kids area with playhouse, shuffle board, picnic tables & sand area were all great. the staff were friendly and happy to help with anything we needed. Our room was on the ground floor with sliding doors to a patio with chairs and table. it was very nice to be able to walk out to the pool area. Our room was very clean & nicely decorated with two queen beds, kitchen area with refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, a small table and chairs & beautiful bathroom. it is a “beachfront” hotel located directly across from the beach like all the hotels there. it was very easy to walk with your beach gear. We were very happy with the Periwinkle Inn the feel of a quaint family hotel even in comparison to the bigger more expensive hotels. We will definitely return to the Periwinkle Inn.”

“Clean and comfy room, friendly staff, 'eclectic' décor, great beach access, walkable to downtown and shopping, cheapest way by far that we could find to stay in Cape May proper (we stayed two nights during Christmas light tour). Know before you go - limited parking, not the quietest rooms, many rules that are understandable but may seem like a hassle to some guests (designated parking place, guest policy, check out time, no ice machine - use in-room fridge for ice, etc. If you have a particular peeve or request - ask before reserving!). Overall - a good value for what it is and where it is. Would stay again.”

“On my first vacation to Cape May my boyfriend’s mother suggested we try George’s. She mentioned it was Greek and had both breakfast and lunch during the daytime... so we tried it... and then we tried it again the following day. We love this place! It’s quaint and cozy, they play some great tunes over their speakers, the black and white pictures of the owner and his sons add so much character, the waitstaff is friendly, polite and extremely attentive... oh and the food, well if you enjoy a good Gyro I definitely suggest trying this place during trip. It was inexpensive and extremely enjoyable. This is definitely a hidden gem and a place I look forward to returning to!!!”
