“I recently sat with John to appraise a ton of items of my grandfather's. John took the time to review a list of the items ahead of time and was super responsive to me. We sat for nearly an hour going through each item (coins, jewelry, silver) and John described each with detail and helped me understand the value, demand, etc. Very fair, and sometimes even better prices when compared to online research. “El Matador has really stepped up to the plate with their outdoor dining since COVID began. From the front it may look like they are closed but they have an awesome outdoor seating area under a large lit tent on a patio in the rear of the restaurant. The entrance to that patio area is to the side of the building but does have a large sign to let you know it’s there. As always the food and the service was excellent, and reasonably priced to boot. A definite thing to note is the restaurant is BYOB so bring a drink and enjoy the delicious food and outdoor seating.”

“I have heard this place has great service and hope to be able to experience that again some day. I ordered 3 simple rolls for take-out and the system they have in place is decent, but not perfect. There was no estimate of when it would be ready, so I waited 10 minutes and drove over. I was then told it would be at least another 10. They called me when it was ready. If I had been waiting at home for the call, it would have been sitting on the table for a while before I had a chance to eat it which is not optimal in my opinion. I got the tuna and avocado, yellowtail with scallion and jalapeño, and the eel tempura roll. I like eel, but don't remember trying the tempura version before. It was all decent, but nothing stood out as amazing. The cut of tuna was good, the yellowtail was a bit stringy and small and the eel was drowned out by the tempura batter. I was trying to keep the cost down, so I didn't go for any of the specialty rolls, but next time I'll try some of those and see how they go. For $22 I wasn't overly impressed by anything. The lunch deal might be a better time to try as you can get 3 rolls for $13 (I think most of what I got was on that list anyway). There are a lot of sushi places around here and some have a better reputation than others. I would try this one again with some more interesting choices and see how it goes.”
