The school emptied with the promise of a complete restoration/ asbestos abatement project. Which could have revitalized again sustained itself as it did for last centuries. Only it never happened. The city of +East Orange quietly would easily write off and erase a once beautiful feat of community civil engineering genius. Columbian school once surrounded by children, People, multi styled Neighborhood homes, families, businesses ( A&P , 5 & 10¢ Store, Butcher shop, confectionery store, Exxon Gas, and more around the city. A vibrant community, a proud community where everyone knew everyone. It's difficult to see again a community where at one time it was a Great Place To Grow Up In ( The Ampere Section of East Orange) it was a NEIGHBORHOOD!”
