“What do you look for when searching for aftercare for a loved one? 1. Quality medical care; 2 . state-of-the-art physical therapy; and 3. compassionate, experienced nurses, aides, and staff. Family of Caring on South Mountain Avenue in Montclair more than answers all these concerns The first two, of course, are hard for family to measure, but the human side of the care is absolutely outstanding. Director of Nursing, Ryan D,, makes it a point to be well-acquainted with each patient and their needs. Any problems brought to his attention will be quickly addressed and resolved. Activity Director Michelle P is an energetic, warm presence who regularly checks in with each patient, urging them to join in her varied planned activities. Before they know what is happening, they're in a warm, stimulating and caring group. The food is tasty, served piping hot and on time. Menus are individually chosen weekly, guided by a nutritionist. Amongst the regular visitors to each patient is a nutritionist, speech therapist, mental health evaluator and social worker - all working to provide each patient with a good adjustment. The Physical Therapy Department is at the core of the rehab program, specifically designed for each patient, aimed to develop their best physical strength and potential. And that leaves the aides. These highly trained individuals dress, undress. and toilet patients as needed all the while preserving their dignity. “My wife and I went to Montclair for the sole purpose of trying out Ramen at Ani's. But that Saturday evening Ani was packed with a line reaching out the door and it was raining. So in the spirit of not leaving with our stomachs empty and desire to satiate our Ramen cravings we started to walk down the avenue and stumbled upon this place. We saw that it was full of patrons as well, but luckily for us they had a open table for 2. The staff here are nice, friendly and attentive. We ordered as an appetizer the Takoyaki (wich is Octopus rolled into a ball), for entree I got Chicken Curry for myself and Spicy Miso Ramen with Roasted Pork for my wife. The meal was very good, Octopus full of flavor, my curry was huge and tasty and her Ramen was superb. Although we still would like to check out Ani up the road, we would love to come back to Fujiya and try more tasty meals from their menu.”

“Great place to put on a show. Beautiful building. Lots of room and a large stage. St. John’s rents out the church for various community activities. Very colorful backdrop on the stage. Although I have been at this church more times than I can remember to see shows, it wasn’t until I received photos from R. Carpenter, that I realized just how incredibly beautiful this building truly is. I highly recommend visiting it in person if you get the opportunity. Simply incredible.”
