Family of Caring on South Mountain Avenue in Montclair more than answers all these concerns The first two, of course, are hard for family to measure, but the human side of the care is absolutely outstanding. Director of Nursing, Ryan D,, makes it a point to be well-acquainted with each patient and their needs. Any problems brought to his attention will be quickly addressed and resolved. Activity Director Michelle P is an energetic, warm presence who regularly checks in with each patient, urging them to join in her varied planned activities. Before they know what is happening, they're in a warm, stimulating and caring group. The food is tasty, served piping hot and on time. Menus are individually chosen weekly, guided by a nutritionist. Amongst the regular visitors to each patient is a nutritionist, speech therapist, mental health evaluator and social worker - all working to provide each patient with a good adjustment. The Physical Therapy Department is at the core of the rehab program, specifically designed for each patient, aimed to develop their best physical strength and potential. And that leaves the aides. These highly trained individuals dress, undress. and toilet patients as needed all the while preserving their dignity.
