“I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Though I wanted the double mastectomy, I was almost certain I did not want reconstruction. I was asked to at least meet with a Plastic Surgeon to see what my options were before I made a decision. I decided to meet with Dr. Bidic as well as his assistant, Evelyn, and his straight forward approach convinced me that I would be in good hands. Dr. Bidic always kept things real. I was a smoker and he point blank told me if I didn't quit he could not do reconstruction (I have other health issues that could hinder healing so smoking was a huge no-no). Because of the other issues I had, he gave me his number incase I hit any road blocks in healing. He even advocated for me with a breast surgeon who did not want to do the procedure that I wanted. I am fully healed now and I feel great about my decision. I have confidence I didnt have before. I highly recommend a consult with him and his team if you're faced with needing reconstruction (or if you're just looking to improve on what you already have).”
