  Jim is unbelievably hard working man with an extreme amount of experience and knowledge in scuba diving. He will do whatever he needs to help you get your certification done. My sister and myself were even trained in his personal pool because riverwinds had closed their pool. And flexing to our extremely difficult schedule. I wouldn’t have wanted to get trained by anyone but Jim

  Jim was extremely informative and demonstrated an obvious passion and expertise in the sport. My husband and I are new to scuba and Jim spent hours with us explaining the different aspects of the gear we would need as well as diving pointers. He was patient and friendly, answering all our questions. He not only wanted us to be completely comfortable diving with his equipment, he obviously wanted to foster in us a genuine love for the sport. His prices in store are extremely competitive, even with online prices, and he offers additional discounts on top of that. He is truly a one stop shop, as he offers gear for purchase and rental as well as training for multiple certifications. He has been diving at Dutch Springs PA for over 20 years and shared excellent advice regarding how to navigate the quarry. We will absolutely be using him for our certifications going forward as well as all our gear needs.

  I cannot say enough great things about this place. A few weeks ago, I called several SCUBA diving places around the South Jersey area to get more information about certifications, pricing and classes because I wanted to dive during an upcoming vacation (I have previously dove before through introductory SCUBA lessons and excursions at dive resorts in the Caribbean, but I wanted to strengthen my skills and become certified before diving again), and as soon as I got off the phone I immediately knew I was choosing Jim (the owner) for the experience. His certification class prices are extremely reasonable, given that the sport of diving is one of the more expensive ones. His pricing includes the use of his gear during training (and he’s got the good stuff). After the first training night in the pool, I went back to his shop to buy some of my own gear (I was immediately hooked after the first class), not only did his crew and staff help me out with selecting items that fit my personal preferences and even my favorite colors, he gave me a nice discount as a student in his class. As a course director he has the highest level of PADI certification, and his expansive knowledge of the skills and gear, paired with his years of experience diving in various places around the world in different situations and settings, makes him a priceless resource for such a complex sport. I have so much respect for his dedication to his customers and to diving. Jim takes diving really seriously and wants to make sure you know what you’re doing without an instructor present. He is super flexible and willing to work around your schedule, both on weekends and weekdays, and is genuinely one of the nicest men I have ever met. There is so much to know and remember throughout these classes and training, so when I found myself overwhelmed or confused, Jim was there to answer my questions or to let me repeat the skills. I finished my Open Water certification this weekend and immediately began training dives for the next highest level— I’m hooked, thanks to Jim and his crew at this place.

  NO FEAR OF DROWNING! Yup, I was the person who had that experience as a kid and was terrified but wanted to learn to dive. Jim is such an incredibly patient, through and kind teacher, I just GOT CERTIFIED for open water diving! Jim trained & certified my husband & step son 2 years ago & introduced me. This was such a great experience that I've decided to go for my advanced open water certification. I did my deep dive in preparation with my husband, also being certified by Jim for advance open water. I can't imagine accomplishing this with another instructor. His staff is the best! They were so helpful during the open water dives I NEVER felt unattended. I've recommended him to friends with the complete confidence they're going to have the same great experience. His store has everything you could need for a great experience. Looking forward to the next trip he plans!!
