Washington Park

I love that I'm shield from the sun by the trees when I do my workouts.
The area is somewhat clean. People still smoke, although there are plenty no smoking signs posted.
Update: twice I experienced people smoking THC while I was working out across them. Now I'm not smoking Police/Sheriff, therefore, I mind my own business. Meanwhile no authority on premises. Children with their parents walking around while these people "get high" the signs must read "No Smoking... Anything"

The children's play area is very secure on all sides and I just like how we can sit and relax without having to worry about the kids running out onto the roads. Besides that, this is a huge park and I guess the only park in Jersey City with lots of picnic benches. Ideal for small parties and picnics.

I have always seen this park, when working in the area, or commuting back and forth between Union City and Jersey City, but this was the first time I visited. I was there for the Union City Pride Day Pride Flag Raising Ceremony. As a result, I finally had the opportunity to literally walk into Washington Park. It was a small ceremony, but what it represents for the immense diversity of Union City, NJ is wonderful. I look forward to returning to this park, when I can, with a good book and a bottle of water.

It's great, very large park has sections, sports fields... playgrounds.. sprinklers... picnic area.. outdoor gym area... usually the carnival is held there each year

I love taking my doggos to the dog park here. I feel like no other dog park I’ve been to can compare to the skyline and atmosphere. My doggos love coming here daily 💗
