  I live in Jersey City so it's kind of hard for me to get here now that I no longer have a car. But I had a great time the two times I've been here to see the asteroids

  Nice easy hiking trails ,great place for afternoon walk in autumn ,be alert for black bears.

  Had a great time. Stayed in one of the shelters and stayed nice and dry despite plenty of rain. Shelter had 2 sets of bunk beds, an indoor table and a little wood stove in case it got cold.

  Very nice and quiet place during our visit at the last weekend in April. Sometimes you have neighbors, but not this time. It's also kept up nicely. My only complaint is that it looked like it's very used. Firewood (that you can collect from the forest and area around it) isn't as plentiful as other state parks, although there were quite a few downed trees. Good place for camping. It's in bear territory, but we didn't even see one or any signs that there may have been one around there.
