The New Ewing Diner & Restaurant

I haven't been here in a few years, since the last time I visited the Trenton area on business. I was not disappointed. Food at the diner is always terrific. Always offered at a good price and the service is quick for a lunch stop. Definitely recommend it.

I go to the diner when I have a hankering for soup. I ordered the open faced Reuben with fries. It came with coleslaw and pickle and my choice of soup. Split pea soup was sooooo good! I could taste something very delicious in there, maybe chicken stock? Maybe a mixture of carrots, onions, and celery? I don't know. I just know that I thoroughly enjoyed it and took the Reuben home for dinner.
As soon as I came in they asked if I wanted a booth or a table. I said booth. This was a mistake because I'm a good 325 lbs and the table cannot be moved. Nevertheless I sat there and still enjoyed everything else. The busboy brought me two cups of water as soon as I sat down (probably thinking someone else was going to join me) for which I am forever thankful because I'm always thirsty! The coleslaw was sweet but a little watery for my taste. But the Reuben? Even cold and with the cheese a solid glob when I finally ate it later was delicious. A d can I just say the amount of thousand island dressing is just right? It came in a separate container so it didn't make the bread soggy. Good job kitchen! Top notch service too! I spent less than $20 for lunch, second lunch, and dinner (all one meal).

Breakfast was Great!!! Had the blueberry pancakes & pork roll. Also, I had a side grits, which were creamy and so delicious!! The cranberry juice was superb…the best tasting Cranberry juice I ever had!!! Will definitely recommend & I’ll be back!!!

First time visiting this Diner and I just want say thank you for the upmost excellent service, to the staff, the owners son who sat us, and the owner. I also would like to thank that special angel who found my husbands wallet out in the parking lot and was kind enough to return it to the owners of the Diner realizing we didn’t have it when it was time to pay. We will forever be grateful and may your blessings double.

The service was great. Very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and I brought home enough to eat for 3 days.
