We can’t say enough good things about Ready Set Van. Five stars all around. From the first time we visited their facility, worked through the design process, purchased our van and then got delivery of our amazing van, everything worked seamlessly. The entire team at RSV is stellar. If you are thinking of getting a custom camper van, this is the group for you!
The first thing you need to know is YOU CAN TRUST READY.SET.VAN.
That was the thing I wanted to know when I was thinking about investing tens of thousands of dollars into a conversion.
Now that I've had my van for six months, I couldn't be happier.
I'll break this into two parts: sales and service.
SALES
We worked with Austin. He was amazing: patient, clear, and honest as he answered literally 100 emails containing god-knows-how-many questions about build, pricing, aesthetics, extras . . . the works. At no time--not ever--did he pressure me or try to "make a sale." He put the relationship above everything else, and I felt totally comfortable with every exchange we had, from start to finish. I mean, really, he went out of his way to help.
SERVICE
When we picked up the van, Brandon became our best friend. He walked us through every detail of how every system works: plumbing, electric, refrigeration, all of it.
My biggest concern about buying from RSV was that they're in New Jersey and we live in rural Oregon. But here again, Brandon has gone above and beyond. If something's not working (if you've owned an RV, you know there are things that sometimes don't work), I text Brandon and we're usually on the phone within minutes. If it's something he can walk me through, like changing a fuse, he walks me through it. When it was something more complicated (our AC started leaking; manufacturer error), he managed to find an RV repair place near us; he got me an appointment; had the AC fixed . . . and I never even saw the bill: it went straight to RSV.
I could say more about how great it's been working with RSV, and how beautiful the van is. But the basics are: the purchase process was first class, the craftsmanship is excellent, and the service is like nowhere else.
If you're thinking about buying a Winnebago or a Roadtrek (we owned a Roadtrek), don't do it!! Get a custom van. And if you're thinking about buying a custom van, get it from Ready.Set.Van.
You'll be glad you did.
Once my fiancé and I decided on purchasing a van, the search began! After scouring the internet for companies that offered quality conversions, we immediately fell in love with RSV. Their detailed YouTube videos, user-friendly website and exceptional staff sold us! We were updated throughout the entire process with photos and videos and offered a warm welcome on pick up day. We love our van and look forward to the adventures ahead!
Here is the letter I wrote recently to the guys at ReadySetVan:
Hey all you RSV guys!
We’ve been thinking about all of you a lot since we realized a couple of days ago that we were coming up on our first year anniversary. We can’t believe it!
This moment finds us peacefully and happily sipping our coffee in the van (still haven’t been struck by the perfect name for her though). We’re in the mountains outside Chattanooga at the moment, on a little climbing tour of the southeast. Who knew the southeastern US had such amazing places?
Not a day goes by when we don’t look at each other and smile. We still can’t get over how much we love the van — truly!
It allowed us to retire during the height of the pandemic and to still embark on and enjoy all the adventures our hearts and souls yearned for.
Just yesterday, in the parking lot near the crag, we gave another tour of the van to two climbers. They were so impressed and both declared they had never seen a van that was “so clean”, referring to the buildout design and its clean and bright lines (not our neatness, haha). They took photos of your logo when we showed it to them and told them how great you are.
As you’ve probably gathered from the words above, the van couldn’t be treating us any better. We love everything you thought of …. The comfy bed, the amazing and fast stove top, the fridge and freezer.. that work really well without using very much energy, the windows that open, the insulation, the reliable solar panels and Tesla batteries, the beautiful benches and breakfast/dinner table at which we play cards and sip digestivos most every evening, the cabinets and garage, the Webasto heater, the LED lights, the bright interior, hot water…… ok ok , so I’m listing everything. That’s ‘cause we love everything! Want to especially emphasize two extra extra special things.. the composting toilet … that works fabulously and never smells at all… and lastly and most importantly, you all at RSV. You cannot know what it’s meant to us to have you personally help us with any question, any issue, any time. In this world of the automated voice keeping us on hold for hours and hours sometimes, having you all answer the phone or call us back and willingly, cheerfully teaching us over FaceTime etc. has meant the world. The fact that you wrote to see how we were doing on our first year anniversary speaks for itself. We tell everyone we know (and even those we don’t know!) about you.
Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!
We are ever grateful for all of you and all the passion, love, and work you put into your vans.
As many have done, I searched all over the internet for the "right van build". Then I ran across Ready Set Van. It hit all the right points for me. Lots of storage (and even enough for a cat litter box), fixed bed, large garage, induction cooktop, etc. Well built and I didn't have to DIY it!
Before I committed, I visited them in person (luckily I live only 40 min away). To see inside the vans as they were being built, take a tour of the facility, meet the builders, and interact with everyone was incredible! We worked on what I wanted, what I didn't want, and then got my van. Honestly, the hardest part of the whole process was finding a van to buy (pandemic supply issues). Everyone was super friendly, very knowledgeable, and easy to work with.
I have never regretted buying this van, and in the fall of 2021 got to go on road trips (with my two cats). Week long vacations to northern Vermont and western South Carolina as well as long weekends in NJ State Parks!
I love my van.
