I highly recommend Dr. Kumar for all your dental needs. after an overnight visit at the hospital for a dental emergency, I was told to find a dentist immediately the next day .after trying 4 or 5 dentists in the area who either were closed or did not accept my insurance or the dentist wasn't in, I came across Riu Dental. my son who suffers from anxiety does not like dentist at all, not one bit. and knowing the urgency of this situation, we walked into the office. We saw the dentist and the assistant at the front desk and to my surprise,the first question wasn't about what insurance I had or that she had just seen her last patient and was ready to go home and I'd have to make appointment, like most of the other dental offices had said , . She asked what the problem was and took a look at it and realized something should be done immediately and we were not regular patients we were a walk-in off the street ,towards the end of her day . She showed genuine concern and care for my son and the situation he was in. we felt that she really cared and know that she does because after all that was done to help us fix this urgent situation and she knowing that my son was suffering from anxiety she calmed him she even, called us an hour later to make sure everything was alright and texted us later on again to make sure everything was alright she definitely shows genuine care and concern for her patients and I highly recommend her to anybody and everybody.

We recently moved to Edison area. So started searching for the dentist which has late hours. One of my friend referred us to Dr Nishi Kumar at Riu Dental. I called to book my appointment for cleaning & checkup. Front desk person gave me same day appointment.
Arrived office at the scheduled time. The office has ample parking. I was greeted by the front desk person. The waiting area was nice and clean. They have a tv with lots of channel. After filling up the new patient form, I was quickly let in by the assistant.
The operatory was nice and clean. They had TV there too. Dr Nishi Kumar came in and introduced herself. Looked up my medical history form, took my blood pressure. She evaluated my teeth and then went on to take x-ray. She took the x-ray while I was on the dental chair and watching the movie on the tv. She showed the x-ray and explained me about everything happening in my teeth. I needed a filling. She was able to do the filling in the same visit. She was very pleasant and extremely personable, thorough with her work. It didn't hurt at all while she was working on my teeth.
I had the best dental experience and would highly recommend Dr. Kumar & Riu Dental to everyone. Dr. Kumar & team is honest and never tried to upsell. She spent lot of time explaining things and made sure all my questions are answered. Now my whole family is going to see her.
