“I lived in these apartments for a year and although it was sometimes difficult to get in touch with management, generally my experience was good. My oven developed a gas leak halfway through our lease and we were not charged to replace it, although it did take a week for them to get a new oven. Neighbors are polite and friendly, I never felt unsafe in this complex. There is lots of green space out front and porches on the complexes if you like to spend time outdoors. Aside from the oven, I never had any maintenance issues and only $12 was taken from our security deposit because of damage to blinds that very likely happened due to my cat. My one recommendation is to just stay on top of management if you need something, and they will get back to you eventually!! Smaller maintenance requests were always fulfilled within 24 hours. If you're looking for an affordable apartment to live in Highland Park, this is a good option! One final caveat is that parking enforcement in the lots behind the complex is slim to none, and people will often double park in the lots. Most people who park in the lots live there, but not necessarily all of them. Honestly, just street park your car, it's not worth it to fight for a spot. I've seen several instances of damaged cars because they were double parked in the lots.”

“I came in with a clutch problem for my 5 speed manual with only a vague idea of what was wrong with it. I described the issue, left my truck, and then Mike (I believe the owner) diagnosed it via a road test and a visual once over. He explained several parts that could be wrong with it and recommended a solution. I okayed it and moved forward with the repair. In TWO days Mike had fully replaced the clutch at a very reasonable price! Mike then sent me some photos of the process to show me exactly what was wrong and explained each of the parts of the repair. Totally great service, and the truck is driving like new. 5/5! If I had another problem (crossing my fingers that I don't) I'd bring it here again. The level of communication really settled my nerves and helped me along in deciding what to do.
