  After suffering from ingrown toenails on both feet, I finally decided to go to a Podiatrist to see what could be done. I can only say I wish I'd done something sooner! The staff at Caring Podiatry is very kind and professional. I was able to get an appointment very quickly and I am very pleased with the results. Dr. Schmierer is a very straightforward man and extremely professional. He explained to me that the reason for my ingrown toenails was that the nails themselves are very curved causing them to grow into the skin. He honestly explained that he could cut the nails for a quick fix but that I would need to be back again very soon. He then offered a more invasive, but permanent solution to the problem. I agreed to do the procedure right then and there. Dr. Schmierer began with injecting my toes with an anesthetic and then proceeded to remove the nail along the sides of both toes. It has been about a month and I feel great. Thank you Dr. Schmierer and staff for a great experience.

  Easy location to find in Monroe right off Centre Drive. The workers at the desk were a complete delight to speak to having filled out my three forms prior to my visit (made checking in a breeze). The doctor was friendly and knowledgeable about my issue, even going slow with the numbing injection to help minimize any pain. Procedure was over in a snap and made a follow up appointment right then and there.
  
  Update: Toe is in great shape and healed in about a week, I would recommend Dr. Andrew Schmierer, to anyone.

  called the office and they were very pleasant and scheduled me in right away which i appreciated since i was in pain. Dr. Schmierer knew exactly what was wrong, provided a quick solution and even offering a follow up appointment. i was in and out within 45 minutes which shocked me since we had to do a small procedure on me. i highly recommend.

  Dr. Schmierer was excellent and very informative and professional. After doing a surgical procedure in his Monroe office he was thoughtful to have his office contact me regarding my foot and the medication I was taking. i strongly recommend him and the Monroe Township Office staff.

  Dr Schmierer is a great doctor!!! had heel pain and was nervous about getting a shot but Dr Schmierer was helpful and kind and didn't feel a thing. was fitted for orthotics and can honestly say i can not go a day without them! Got an appointment right away and was very happy with the whole experience! Great dr and staff !!
