The pastor and congregation are warm & friendly. If your serious about living for Christ, this is the place to be at 11am or 2pm on Sunday. In addition, they have a great Bible study on Wednesday night at 7:30pm. See you there and bring the family or a friend

I was in Garden State 4 over 30 years..l knew Mrs. Gent..a wonderfu godly Pastor's wife who along w Pastor Gent made a great team..l l miss them both..l am in MD now but sure miss his preaching

Pastor Jim Gent is a great expository preacher of the Bible. He doesn't mislead or appeal to emotions but looks at the Scripture in its historical, geographical, Scriptural, and grammatical context. The members are very warm and we get to know each other on a first name basis. The church service at Garden State Baptist Church is based entirely on the three foundational elements of a church service, worship, prayer, and Bible study. We also have a 6 P.M. service for those who find it difficult to make to a early service.

A great church with a wonderful caring pastor. Pastor Gent is the real deal. He teaches real biblical truth. It may not be the most popular, but it will be what the bible teaches, which is what people need.
