Kings & Queens Chess Academy

Chess Kings and Queens has been a wonderful place. All the coaches are really good and nice. Everyone is eager to play against each other. The coaches are eager to teach and answer questions. Their tournaments are good too because there is equal/tough competition. CK&Q has been a wonderful place to learn and play chess, thanks to world championship contestant Magesh Panchanathan.

Chess increases the focus level, logical thinking and patience of a child to a large extent. Also, by attending chess tournaments the child learns to be sportive and become more socialized. My child has been going to both private and group lessons in Kings and Queens and we love them. GM Magesh, GM Arun and coach Robert are very patient and humble. If you approach GM Magesh or GM Arun they answer any number of questions and try to solve any of the issues you come across (if any) very patiently. Also, the tournaments here are very good. It is one of the places where pairing and results are updated timely in a wall chart after every round. If you are unaware of any tournament rules, the tournament Director explains you the rules clearly without being impatient or rude.

Everyone here is knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to help. It not only teaches chess to kids but probably more importantly was able to keep young kids stay interested. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

We have started this chess class 4 months back and we are very happy and satisfied with the progress. Coaching staff is of international level and you won't get that so often. Their teaching methods are unique and interactive which keeps child's motivated and develop game. My friends kids also joined the class on our recommendation and they are also amazed with the results. I wish coach Maghesh, coach Arun, coach Robert and team to all the best and continue doing the great work.

My son has taken the class in K&Q chess academy for 2 years. This is probably the best place to learn chess in group lessons. Coach Magesh knows how to teach kids(I happened to sit in the class with my son in first a few lessons). High compliments are even from some very respectable chess coaches in NY.
