“I visited this church for two reasons. 1. Because I previously met some of its members and just loved their spirit. 2. I was curious about the church leader. I felt he must be doing something special/different for me to see the godliness in so many of his members. So I mentioned this to one of the members and promised I would visit. The day I visited this church my heart was so heavy from the sudden death of my mother. When I walked in the church, the atmosphere was so inviting. The members were having a great time celebrating Father’s Day. Following the celebration we moved to the sanctuary for service. I was waiting to hear the Father’s Day sermon. By surprise I hear my name called. The pastor obviously heard of my lost and called me by name to the altar for prayer. I was a little embarrassed walking to the front. The pastor also asked the members who I met previously to join me. They prayed and cried along with me. In that moment God lifted my burden. I felt so welcomed there. I now knew what made this church so special. It is lead by a great pastor who teaches Gods word, who meets and greets members and visitors, who learns of your joy and sorrow, who prays for you and with you. and the church is filled with authentic god fearing people.”
