David C. Shaw Arboretum

Breathtaking place, saw a couple of beavers(I think?), really nice place to take a couple of minutes to take a look at

It was a lovely park, yet the arboretum is a bit small, I had imagined a vast palace of trees of several varieties both native and foreign. Regardless of it's size it is a very quaint and peaceful retreat to gaze upon. I would recommend this park to anyone looking for respite from a noisy world.

Beautiful arboretum in Holmdel Park. Great opportunity to show your children about the different tree species. The arboretum is fenced in, so if you have little children you can safely let them run freely amongst the trees.

I love this shaded path through different species of trees! When I was young, my dad used to teach me all the plants names here. Great views of the lake, lots of benches and shaded areas for picnics. The path is walkable for children, but might be hard if you are using a stroller. Can't wait to go back once the leaves return :)

Amazing park with a great historical working farm including animals. There's an official sledding hill. There are trails that will allow you to walk, run, hike 8 miles or so in a loop. I love the arboretum! There's some interesting flora to admire.
