“On January 16, 2018, Tracy from Embracing Hospice came into our mother, Marys' home to begin 24 hour care Hospice care. Tracy arrived promptly at 8 a.m. and assessed mom and continued to assess her every hour. We knew her death was near but not sure how soon. We originally thought it may be through the weekend, then maybe to Friday and as the day went on, death was sooner than anyone thought. Tracy was not just professional but I felt as though she were a member of the family. Tracy was very compassionate, empathetic, sympathetic, caring, kind, loving, not only in regards to our mother, but to the family as well. As the early evening came upon us, Tracy noticed mom was taking a turn and informed us of her condition and kept her comfortable. Tracys'shift had ended and Lola came in and continued with moms care. Much like Tracy, Lola assessed moms condition and continued to monitor her. Again, Lola was very professional, empathetic, caring, loving. Mom took a turn for the worse and within the hour our mother passed. Lola was very kind and gave us some time to be alone with mom until all the necessary procedures continued. A nurse, I'm sorry I don't remember her name, came in and pronounced mom and called the mortician for us. We didn't have to do anything at all other than sit with mom. As sad as it is, if I had to do it again with another family member, I would call Embracing Hospice. Thank you Tracy and Lola.
