“Very happy with the recent repair of my Lexus. Barry was able to see me right away and saw not only that the chrome trim around the front grill was dented, but also a very slight misalignment of the front grill area was present - meaning a certain hidden bracket was dented out of shape. This was a very subtle detail could be easily missed. He explained what work needed to be done very clearly - and answered my questions without showing any impatience. Car was ready ahead of schedule. While I did not need any paint work done for this repair, I would have no hesitation in using them again for any sort of damage to my cars.”

“I went to this place by chance and had one of the greatest car repair experiences of my life. I usually change my own oil, but the oil pan drain plug was worn out and I wasn't in the mood to deal with it. So, I pulled into the quick oil change location and was immediately taken to the work bay, told to stay in my car, and four mechanics (well-trained) began to check over the entire vehicle, as I requested. Obviously, oil and oil filter needed to be replaced. All lights, battery, and fluids were checked. Based on the vehicle's mileage (which I knew should be done), the differential fluids (front and rear) and transfer case fluids were drained and replaced too. All this was done with NASCAR proficiency by the mechanics as I sat in the driver's seat. The entire repair took about an hour as opposed to a regular mechanic that would have needed at least four hours to complete these repairs. The cost of the repairs was reasonable (about $375). The car's performance was noticeably improved and I drove it on a long drive immediately after the repair. One downside to mention is the policy of the shop that they would not drain and replace the automatic transmission fluid because the vehicle had over 100,000 miles. I would have appreciated being able to have this service done as well.”

“My father is a mechanic and owns his own shop. Being a woman and going to get your car repaired is always stressful and you don't want to feel like when you go to the shop that they are going to take advantage. Midas in Freehold and Bobby are extremely considerate and conscientious regarding their estimates and work. They are thorough and each time that I have gone to Midas I have left feeling confident that they did the right work for my car. I moved to the area a few years ago and wherever i go, I like to try to go to local shops and have avoided large chain shops. However, Midas in Freehold has changed my mind about that. They have mechanics that know what they are doing and have done great for me. I like their front desk service and the manner in which they have repaired my vehicle. I have some basic knowledge about my car and my car rides great. Thank you Midas in Freehold and Bobby for taking care of my vehicle. I will keep going to you for all my car care needs now. I have gone to Midas and compared it to other shops and Midas has given me great service. Extremely reliable car repair.”

“I work rideshare and purchased the monthly wash package. Very convenient and I especially enjoy that i can opt to vacuum my car myself although they have limited parking here so sometimes the vacuum stations are limited due to vehicles being serviced parked there or perhaps employee vehicles parked there.”

“We’ve taken our cars to Firestone for routine service (tires, brakes, etc.) and have always been pleased with the service but want to single them out for recent extraordinary service. This past Saturday NJ was hit with torrential rains that rapidly flooded roads. Our daughter was home for the Thanksgiving weekend and had to drive through several flooded roads to get home that night. One spot was particularly bad as the water came up to the doors on her car. Several other cars did not make it through the flooded roadway. After driving through several flooded roads she heard some unusual noises from the car. Sunday morning the noises were gone but she had a 3 ½ drive back to Virginia. We wanted to make sure the car was ok and called Firestone asking if they could check it out. We spoke with Mike (Service Manager) who was most understanding and said they’d look at her car. Mike and the crew at Firestone thoroughly checked out her vehicle and determined everything was ok. He was most sympathetic to our daughter having a long drive ahead and our seeking reassurance her car was roadworthy before she left. He generously did not charge us for their time examining her car. We were extremely pleased with the service performed by Firestone and the genuine concern for her safety exhibited by Mike and his team.”

“Marni was easy to work with and always available during business hours. Handled insurance well and the body shop did a great job with the damage. So why not 5 stars? For 95% of the cases out there, this shop will do a great job. I have an Audi Q5 and this car has lights on the bumper. The job was for bumper removal, paint, put back on. When I picked up the car, everything looked great, I paid, jumped into the car, and diagnostics tells me there's a light malfunction. I jump back into the shop to discuss and it was apparent they neither wanted to acknowledge fault ("the techs took the bumper off and put it back on, it should not affect the lights") nor make it right. Remember, they didn't even bring this up with me before I brought it to their attention. Now, I don't blame them for not knowing the fix -- it's an atypical car. But my back lights weren't working (pretty dangerous in the dark, but yes, my car is unique). I took it to the dealer before dusk and they plugged in the appropriate wire in 10m and explained that this is a common error after body shop work. I called Marni back to let her know the outcome and she was apologetic and said she'll make sure her techs will be aware in future situations of this unique wiring harness that needed to be reattached. Again, they did a fantastic job on the actual damage, but had some hiccups with my atypical vehicle. I just wished she brought this issue to my attention before my payment so we could have come to a good resolution prior to a potentially unhappy customer situation. No one expects a German vehicle to be an easy fix, but please inform the customer if there are issues as a reasonable person like myself will take care of it. If she had simply said, "We took care of everything physically, but we couldn't figure out the lights issue after we completed. It could be an easy fix at the dealer where they know this vehicle better than we would and if there's a fee, please let us know and we'll make this right." Would have left a raving review. As for the reader, these people are good people. Family run and probably made an error in judgment (and probably didn't realize my lights weren't working in the rear at all). They'll do a great job for what they scoped, just ask for the keys before payment and make sure everything is as expected prior to payment. That would be my suggestion to prevent yourself from my predicament.”
