This monument was erected ca. 1900 when road construction threatened the soldier's huts. A local farmer had the stones from the fireplaces saved and built into this monument.”

Clean bathrooms and water bottle refill station too. Took our scouts on a 3 mile hike including visiting the Soldiers Hut, Wick house, and the visitor center. Nice 1/2 day trip.”

“I like to come here for quick walk or hike. There's many trails so it's good to have a map if you're not familiar with this park. It's pretty wet in winter and spring but some trails have decks to walk on. Some of trails are perfect for snowshoeing or mountain biking.”
