Dr. Polesin knows her craft because she loves her craft. Her feedback Is so thorough that one only wishes he could absorb it all. But she was ready to respond to all of my questions, and there will be more.
My session with her was most profitable: I’m more than happy that I chose her as my physician.
This was an initial visit. I am hesitant to go to MD’s for back pain but was willing to try a physiatrist. My physical exam was targeted to my specific complaints and Dr Polesin quickly gave her opinion on the source of the issue. Why I waited so long messing around with a chiropractor I don’t know. It seemed that she has specific ideas about PT in that a certain sequence has to be followed to effectively target my problem. I appreciated her knowledge and confidence. I also received injections which were well done. As a nurse I know good technique. I will follow up with a review of my next appointment.
I really like Dr. Polesin because she is open to natural remedies, and takes the time to listen to her patients and discuss treatment options, but I waited an hour to see her at my last appointment. When I brought it up she said there was nothing she could do about the wait because she can't anticipate how long each appointment will take because she takes time to listen to patients. When I expressed surprise that there really was nothing that could be done and suggested having her staff contacting patients to tell them she was running late, she said she looked into apps to do this as staff doesn't have time, so she suggested calling in before coming to the office to check if she was running late. She also said she would talk to her staff about telling people when they arrive what the wait time might be so they could potentially run errands or grab a bite to eat in the area while waiting and staff could call or text to tell them when to return to the office.
I have a hard time believing a better system cannot be put in place, but in the meantime I suggest calling the office before going in to try to avoid long delays.
Dr. Polesin is very, very knowledgeable and high-qualified —not just about spinal issues, but also about the whole body and a whole variety of health issues—and she is also very personable and easy to talk to. Staff at this facility are friendly and efficient. Wait times can be quite long—sometimes over an hour— so you should plan for that, but know, too, that you are getting top-of-the-line health care. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Polesin for a long time, and she has always been able to help me feel better!
Dr. Polesin was everything a physician should be. She listened and understood my rather convoluted history, she was thorough in her examination, and she was very generous with her time in explaining the mechanism of my condition and in reassuring me that recovery is highly probable. I recommend Dr. Polesin without hesitation.
