Ocean County Library, Brick Branch

The library is clean and organized, and the library employees were so helpful.

The Ocean County Library, Brick Branch, is a great place to learn, explore, and connect with the community. They have a huge selection of books, DVDs, and audiobooks for all ages. The librarians are super helpful and can assist you with finding new reading material, both in print and electronic formats.

There are several designated quiet areas where you can work or study. If you need to use a laptop, the library has several available for public use. They also have charging stations for various types of phones, which is a nice touch.

The library hosts a variety of events for all ages. The other day, they had a craft featuring frozen chocolate drinks.

The library has plenty of parking and it was an absolute joy to visit.

So easy! I applied for my library online. I picked up the physical card. The front desk girl was the best! So nice, helpful, explained everything, & then asked if I had any questions. She did a GREAT job! Now I can read the books online for FREE!!

I frequent the local libraries and have for years.I think it is unusual that one can sense the difference from one library to another as soon as you enter the building. It is almost as if the building itself takes on the characteristics of the staff. You can feel the welcome that is extended to you as soon as you enter. In the same way you can feel the reluctance of the person who really doesn't want to be there working and reflects it off of you. For me a visit to the library is one of my greatest pleasures and I have felt real sadness at the times I have spent at a library with a poorly chosen staff. Brick Library has, so far been a pleasure to visit. The staff is pleasant and accommodating. They are helpful and never rush the patrons out the door at closing time. I have been at libraries that do that and it is so disconcerting and, well, downright rude. With the trend going towards technology and away from hardcover and softcover books, it seems library staff should try their level best to encourage patrons to enjoy public libraries. For a really enjoyable experience in a well set-up library, come to the Brick branch of the Ocean County library. You will be glad you did.
