(October 10, 2018, 1:46 pm)I went down this summer for a week vacation. The place was what I expected. Clean and friendly. It happen to rain my first night there but by a happy accenident the bar is a local hot spot. There was bingo and the atmosphere was very fun. While enjoying the games the kitchen brought out samples upon samples of food. Everything was delicious! The owner asks you leave a deposit for beach passes. Annual beach pass is 65$ and $10 for a day pass. So putting a deposit down was not a big deal. Having beach passes saved us some money. The pool is clean and the owner is always out there tinkering to make sure it's up to par for guests. I only wish they had more ice readily available. The only ice in the whole place is a small decorative chest he keeps in the lobby. Its location was perfect for mem away from all the craziness of the boardwalk but close enough for a small ride in the car or a long walk. I will definitely be booking another trip here.

(September 2, 2018, 5:05 pm)The waitresses were very polite and friendly! The food there was great too! There were so many things that I wanted to try. They had an amazing breakfast menu as well as lunch. Can't wait to go back there!

(August 12, 2018, 1:59 pm)I do not know how anyone can not leave a five star rating.This hotel I’ve been going to since the early 80s. The staff is the best!! And, the most accommodating facilities you will find down the jersey shore .... pool is clean and awesome as it always is, great bar and restaurant on premise ...what I love , is that it’s one of the oldies, but goodies... very well kept up on, you can see they put back into that hotel year after year. Cleanliness is top!!! And if you do have a problem, it’s fixed in an hour!!! The nostalgia this place gives you of the olden days is second to none, but at the same time, the hotel is maintained like no other jersey shore motel... I will stay here forever, every year.. beach is right up the block, they give you free beach passes , and every convenience is at your fingertips right around your motel on the walkable strip!!!! Liquor stores, pizzerias and ice cream shops, sob shops, restaurants, EVERTHING!! Even If your not a beach person ( which I am) , you never gotta leave the hotel, cause it’s got everything, even an arcade for the kids, and laundry mat ... I call the windjammer: “ OLD SCHOOL PARADISE”!!! Bless you guys, and another 100 years of business! Salute! Can’t say enough about this place! Just book it and see!
