“Pro's-Honest, quick, cheaper than pep boys, AAA center(which means they have to meet a high standard of service), Eric is the Lebron James of mechanics(can fix your car, lawn mower, vespa...then weld your fishing rack to your jeep...), Paulie oversees everything to make sure the customer is #1. They also fix bicycles and sell bike parts(tubes chains tires etc). Propane/ice always available for those summer parties. Con's-no more fuel available overall, Southern service completely eliminates the need to go over the bridge for any automotive needs. A+”

“Grumpy's Tackle has it all. By far the best tackle shop on the island. Custom rod building by Bob, expert reel repairs by Frankie Z and expert fishing advice from Ray and of course, Grumpy himself. They also have fresh, frozen and sometimes live bait. It's the only place I shop for all my surf, jetty and back bay needs. If the regular place you shop doesn't have it, try Grumpys. You will not be disappointed.”

“Last night my family celebrated my mother's 85th birthday at CHEF MIKE'S. We were a large group of 20 family members. The staff at the restaurant were awesome. The piano player set an energetic atmosphere for the entire place. My mother was thrilled with her celebration. “It's a great place for a lot of reasons. The manager, Christian, is the bomb. He really upgrades the whole visit. The skinny on some of the good stuff: It's one block from a great beach. They can often get you free beach passes. It's got an excellent if small heated salt water pool. It's two blocks from a sunset-mecca bay. They have both regular hotel rooms and efficiencies with a little cook top, microwave and decent size fridge. Also, it's a pretty quiet, family oriented, clean area of the Jersey Shore. Yet it's close to the frenetic and carnival-like area of Seaside Heights if you want to visit. This worst part is there is no separate outside smoking area, so sometimes you get gassed with secondhand tobacco. But it's pretty wide open with a lot of breeze, so it's tolerable most of the time. In the end, is an excellent value for your dollar. I'd recommend it.”
