CAD Roofing

Cafo is not only a European master tradesmen, he is a Gentleman Tradesmen. Yes, I just made that up. My experience with C.A.D. Roofing has been the best I have ever had, to date, with a member of the trades. As a woman with a background in building science, far too many of my experiences with tradespeople that are men have been assuming my ignorance, being condescended to, being cut off and spoken over, and, sadly, receiving estimates from those that I have learned should not be in construction at all due to their lack of knowledge and often combined with an ingrained work culture to just get it done fast, instead of get it done right.

Cafo is different. He was on time to the estimate, he was highly respectful, he was friendly, he was knowledgeable, he listened to me and even apologized for accidently cutting me off at one point, and it is highly apparent that he truly loves what he does.

While he had an employee accompany him, HE climbed my roof himself to inspect and came back to me with an honest assessment and quote on the spot. Since I had already received quotes from other roofers and experienced their - less than desirable - service, I knew I had found who I was looking for to care for my hundred year old gorgeous slate roof that I was blessed to finally find in my new home. He got the job.

They were on time to the job, they did excellent work, they cleaned up, he even came down to tell me he noticed there was a minor issue with the flashing on our chimney that he had not noticed and so he replaced it all with brand new flashing FOR FREE. I am confident that anyone learning under him is getting the knowledge needed to do quality work in a country where that is few and far between these days. One day he will need to retire, much earned and deserved, and I will hire anyone he decides is the person to take his place.

Polite, efficient, honest, European-trained master craftsman. I wouldn't trust the roofs of St Michael's Cathedral--especially our slate roofs--to anyone else.

CAD roofing has been taking care of our gutters for years and always does a good job. When we have had any issues with water in-between cleanings they come back and take care of it quickly and usually for no charge. Very good business.

The only reason for four stars and not give is that it was an emergency repair job fixing storm damage, not a whole roof. He showed up on time and did good work, the leak stopped.
