Wonderful place to go on a nice walk, and just 2 minutes from the lake we’re there is a beautiful picnic area, and great for bbq.
I went to this place on a cloudy Saturday. Nothing is beautiful as nature. The place is good. Probably, one of the good ones to spend time, walk, and relax. There are three parking lots starting from the entrance. Also, Manson are used for events. I saw few improvements in terms of facilities i.e. mapping, putting signs.
GPS has wrong pin point but it's just few blocks down the road and you'll find the address. Location is nice and family friendly. Not huge but decent state park for picnicking. Parking is a bit stressful since you have to be there before 9 or else the lot will get full during holidays.
Amazing Park and tons of trails for biking hiking and running. On top of this there are woods cut for a gas line for ATV and gas vehicles. Along with this the NJ botanical garden is located here. For the woods the middle school lot or lot 3 are best, other lots also work, be careful of pedestrians on road while driving through park. Busy on nice weekends as well.
This place was sooo much fun! Lisa at the front desk was very kind and helpful. Our instructor (forgot his name) was a great teacher and very patient, seems to like his job. He kept score and let us take our time practicing and aiming.
I like that there's no course or instructional video to watch, you just start. Learn as you go. We went on a Saturday on Valentine's weekend and even though there were a lot of people the wait time was 10-15 minutes.
Tips:
Bring earplugs or eye protection- I used sunglasses. (Also available for purchase at the place, $0.50 and $5 respectively)
Place is cash only, so bring cash.
Eat something before you go. They have little snacks there but they're expensive. $2 for a bag of chips, $2 for soda.
