Dr Hubbard is the BEST and a nice person. I was in tremendous pain walking with a damaged foot for 13 years that progressed to a cane for 8 years after an accident I tried everything except surgery. My surgery was very complicated. After seeing him and weighing the pros and cons I put all my trust in him and God. After being an excellent patient and doing everything I was instructed to do, I can walk again with no cane and no pain.
I know 2020 has been a nightmare but 2020 is when I got my life back. Thank You Dr. Hubbard I won the lottery when I found you!
This review is 3 years overdue. In 2009, I had the most typical ankle sprain (inverted) without any major bruising and did not feel/hear any popping when it occurred—minor swelling only. From my understanding, ankles take the longest to heal in the body, but this ankle felt miserable for a few years after and I knew the residuals were lasting much longer than most people that deal with sprains much worse than mine.
Immediately after the injury, I noticed something protruding from the inner ankle completely opposite of where the swelling/pain was. My left inner ankle looked different than the other. I went to podiatrists and orthopedic surgeons on and off for 2 years and nobody could explain it. In 2017, I decided to look into addressing it one more time because not having closure bothered me. I always felt this 'fullness' in that ankle, in addition to it looking a bit off.
After intensive Google searching, Dr. Hubbard was the only one I consulted. During my first visit, he sent me for an MRI to confirm what he expected. After diagnosing an extremely rare ankle injury known as accessory soleus muscle, we agreed upon surgery to remove the excess muscle that stretched well into an area it shouldn't be.
The procedure went incredibly well and my recovery was sooo quick. He was also able to show me images from the surgery. His staff was always outstanding, as well.
Dr. Hubbard is a man of few words, but asks the right questions and listens to your concerns. His method is very precise, both in office and operation. Dr. Hubbard is excellence.
Thank you from the heart, Dr. Hubbard.
Dr. Hubbard is very good at what he does. I was at a point in my life where an unresolved basketball achilles tendon injury,13 years before, left me with a compromised quality of life. I could not walk without pain and running was met with sharp, excruciating pain.
There are no guarantees in life but I was looking for someone who had done many FHL tendon transfers because I felt I only had one chance to get it right. Dr. Hubbard was that person for me.
The recovery is long but I am now able to walk, play golf, and bicycle again without pain. It is a long recovery but I am gaining strength and range of motion that will soon allow me to run, play pickle ball, and return as an active member of our Ski Patrol. I am grateful for Dr. Hubbard's skill and quiet profressionalism.
After hearing how the doctor's locally in Pennsylvaniar were going to treat, or not help me with my 2 bone spurs in my heel, I searched and found Dr Hubbard. I can't thank him enough for giving me my life back. Everything he said and told me with my surgery and recovery was right on. I was walking in a boot in 4 weeks, and back to work in 12 weeks and 4 months after I was released by him I was pain free. I would recommend him to anyone. I would also like to thank his nurse, Michelle Sanchez for her great care also.
I was a bit apprehensive because he’s a surgeon which usually means predisposed to operating regardless. But he gave me practical advice and sent me to a great PT. Took my situation seriously despite my being overweight, seeming to believe me that I work out regularly. Office procedures were super efficient, but I didn’t feel rushed. Also, as quick as the intake was, he had clearly read my information before the exam and knew it pretty well.
