Wallisch Homestead

A lot of work went into preserving this land from the 1700's, and it's excellent that they have all kinds of interesting workshops, events, and classes for the public, like yoga, etc. It's a great way to be outside and enjoy the preserved beauty while contemplating its long history.

Very beautiful and old historical site, lovingly maintained though volunteer efforts and non-profit center, to serve as a place for the community to enjoy. I'm excited they will have Internal Gardens Tai Chi of NJ co-sponsoring the 2018 World Tai Chi Day there in April. It's such a generous way to share this 100-acres of natural setting with the community. Very positive. I hope that more people and businesses continue to donate to support them , in order to save places like this for us and our future generations.

The entire site is a very nice place to visit and enjoy. There's a nature preserve in the back, if you do go to the Nature Preserve please bring flea and tick spray and take precautions if you bring a dog, your dog will get ticks.

Big open fields, historical farm and walk through the marsh to spy birds and other wild life. I have yet to be here when it was "open." I know they have events, a community garden and sunrise yoga in the summer!

I'm not sure if it is ever open for guided tours or anything like that, but certainly a peaceful walkabout.
