“Brought in a 30 year-old Ariens self-propelled walk-behind mower with BBC for service. While it took longer than I had hoped (chain saws and snow blowers took priority) for the work to be done, I received the mower in time for cutting season. After a few weeks of use I had to bring the mower back to have the BBC adjusted. Turnaround time then was 3 weeks with 1 hour of work billed. Because of the contraction in the number of area small engine shops, remaining businesses (including Lawn Mower Shop) have been under increased pressures due to strong demand. With fewer number of available shops to do the work, turn-around times have increased. If you examine ratings of these types of shops they all average in the low 3s with the exception of 1 or 2. In general, if you look at the reviews, there aren't a lot of satisfied customers of small engine shops as many reviewers complain about the lengthy turnaround and poor customer service. My point is, under current market conditions, it doesn't matter where you take a lawn mower to be fixed, it is going to take longer than you want to get it back. Overall, I feel I paid a fair price to get my mower back up and running. My experience is that this shop does quality work. However, I would have appreciated more frequent status followups including realistic setting and managing of my expectations. Had they done that I would have given them a 5.”

We put it off for 15 years; sadly my brother became very ill this past summer n passed away in August. His wife n I this past weekend went to Central Jersey Rare Coins with the box, with the help of my hubby (the box was heavy). The gentlemen in the shop were incredible courteous, fair n honest. We were very pleased with the appraisal n the sale of the coins. As others have said make sure you get a price estimate BEFORE you agree to the treatment..but that's really standard at any vet practice! Also it tells you this right on the paper when you first come in. Service was a bit expensive but that's to be expected with any type of specialized doctor. ”
