The team at LearningRx-Warren worked their magic with our daughter. We waited a full year after our daughter participated in their program before we posted a review because we wanted to know if what she learned there actually stuck and made a difference. She was a kindergartener who showed an aversion to doing anything phonics related, begged to stay home from school on days they were working on reading, couldn't even focus long enough to try to sound out a word so forget about reading. After only 5 sessions of their unique program she was pulling out hand written cards from the grandparents and fumbling through to TRY to read it on her own from beginning to end. We literally cried. After 6 months she gained the confidence, and SKILLS, to keep on tackling any challenges and was able to finish Kindergarten strong. At the start of First grade she had caught up and was reading at grade level. Halfway through the year, she's already reading at a Second grade level, and we can see her using the same techniques she had learned at LearningRx the year before. From what we could see, this is NOT a tutoring program, it's more that they try to identify the barriers to her overall learning process and give her tools to overcome them bit by bit so she can apply these techniques across all areas. Reading is still NOT her favorite thing to do, but we are amazed at the progress she has made and the willingness she has to try activities she still finds challenging, and we credit LearningRx with that. Best investment we have made in our daughter's education, hands down!
I enrolled my 8 yo child in the Learning Rx program after a friend referred me. Covid related school closures and online teaching really delayed our child’s academic development; and he lacked the foundation to learn. The techniques used at the LearningRX were completely unknown to me and watching him “play” with his trainer the first few sessions made me curious as to how would this even work… but based on my child's improvement, I can vouch for its effectiveness. He enjoyed the training and learned so much without even realizing how much he was learning and he had fun doing it. The most significant improvement we see is in his reading, vocabulary and memory.
A word about the staff, Mike, Ingrid, MaryEllen and especially Lulu are amazing! Lulu was our trainer and she is so knowledgeable, professional, caring and compassionate. I’m very grateful for our experience here.
All 3 of my sons attended full programs (3 times per week, in person) at LearningRx in 2019. I cannot say enough about how wonderful this program was for our family. Each one of my kids has a different need, and LearningRx tailored their program to give each one their own, respective journey. My eldest did well in school but needed an extra push to reach for excellence, especially with his writing. LearningRx advanced him to that next level, and he truly enjoyed the process. My middle son has suboptimal short-term memory, and the training did a great job to help him process in a different way and retain concepts better/longer. He has also since become an avid reader, which I think was driven by enhanced comprehension skills that he developed at LearningRx. Finally, our youngest has ADHD. One of the key areas we were trying to improve – auditory processing – was significantly enhanced through the training he received (by VERY patient and caring LearningRx teachers!). The dedication of the owners and teachers toward the students was truly exceptional; my children viewed their coaches as trusted supporters of them as individuals. Mike even reached out to us 3 months after we wrapped up our course work, just to check on us and see how we were doing during the Covid-19 pandemic. If you are seeking a supportive and caring environment for your kids to effectively develop their cognitive skills, look no further than LearningRx Warren.
Learning Rx has been a God’s sent for our family. After our son Michael suffered a stroke and was impacted with his cognitive and speech skills, the training he has received at Learning Rx has made a huge difference. I also have to say, the staff at the center in Warren NJ are excellent not only in their knowledge and skills but they are also compassionate and caring. We highly recommend it!
I felt that Learning RX worked for my son. In order for a program to be effective you must actually see the results. Test scores are solid proof. To see the growth in my son was rewarding. I always knew that he had the potential but it needed to be developed. Today, he picks up a book and studies on his own unlike the past when this would have not been part of his behavior. Thank you Learning Rx for teaching my son how to enjoy learning!
