The Lafayette Mercantile

A nice little shop located by the antique district of Lafayette. The items range from women’s and infant clothing to brass mounted animal heads wearing glasses - definitely unique and worth a look. I loved the baby booties which looked like dragons breathing fire, so cool!
The owner is this upbeat and bright woman who will make you smile whether or not you end up getting something. I bought a book for my upcoming newborn daughter and a few dresses my wife loved (for very reasonable prices at that). The owner teared up and was so happy for us - such a genuinely caring person and exactly who should be running a store like this one. Stop in and check it out if you’re in town, it’s worth it!

Little shop with so much to offer. Unique honey, and nuts to taste on. There’s a section of adorable baby items. Then!!! I saw the section of clothes, which were reasonably price and beautiful, unlike many small shops charging an arm and a leg to be stylish. There are many sizes and the shop owner was very helpful and not pushy at all. I can’t wait to return to the town and stop in to see what’s new. So cute!
