I lost Snowy my 17.5 years maltese on 10/17/2018. He was my baby and life. I always tried to give him best in life and wanted nothing less for his farewell. The staff at Abbey Glen helped me give him a perfect farewell on 10/18. They kept him overnight so that I could have everyone who loved him be there to say their last bye to him.
The next day when I went on 10/18 for his final rites - the staff at Abbey glen had taken such good care of him that he looked like he was in a deep peaceful sleep in fairy land.
The place is so well maintained, peaceful and staff very very courteous and give all the details while maintaining the sensitivity of your loss.
This place was one and half hour away from where I live but the drive was worth every mile.
If you love your pet and want to give him tha best farewell then this is the place.
Thank You - to all staff of Abbey Glen for giving my snowy the best farewell he deserved.
Abbey Glen Pet Memorial Park is like piece of heaven on earth. I love the place , it is so beautiful and so peaceful. I feel blessed that I found that place ,and that I was able to give my sixteen years and two months old Min Pin Niky the best goodbye ever. Thanks to Pat McCarrick everything was so organized and so perfect. Her kindness and her big heart helped me do deal with my pain. She wanted everything to be perfect, she wanted my last goodbye to be just the way I wanted. My dog had individual cremation, and I wanted to be there and to have her remains handed to me.Everything was so organized, and my Niky looked like she was sleeping, her little face was so beautiful, she looked like she was so relaxed and so ready to cross the Rainbow Bridge. They wrapped her in her little blanket , just the way I used to do and the way she used to love it. Next to her little body they put a little paw print keepsake that they made for me . It was a beautiful suprise , that they gave me for free. I stayed with my Niky privately, Pat gave me all the time that I needed to say my last goodbye. It was a beautiful funeral. After, the cremation was done Pat prepared everything for me ,and brought my Niky in beautiful triangle cherry wood urn with a nameplate. On one side I have my Niky's cremation certificate, on the other side I have The Rainbow Bridge story and the last side I put her picture, even on the top of the urn you have a little space to put something, which I used to put my Niky's necklace. Abbey Glen is the best place that one can choose for their pets. I must mention that they are not expensive at all . They love animals, it's so obvious that all they do , they do with love. I would highly recommend this place , it's the best place to say your final goodbye to your loving pet. Thank you Pat and thank you Abbey Glen for giving my Niky the best possible way to leave this world. Forever thankful family Vukosa.
This place is incredible. Such a peaceful location to lay your beloved pet to rest with the most compassionate staff you could ask for. Pat took care of our attending cremation for our dog. She was amazingly attentive and understanding during this rough time.
This was such a lovely facility and I’ve had two of my pets cremated here including bringing one of them myself all the way from Brooklyn. Everyone from the ladies on the phone to the kind woman who greeted me with a hug when I arrived was great. It’s such a difficult time and the kindness of strangers does ease that. The place itself is beautiful and I was able to spend some time afterwards wandering the grounds and sitting in quiet reflection. I felt like everything was handled with utmost respect and dignity.
Can't say enough about the peace and serenity AG has brought to my heart over the years!
I laid to rest my beautiful Dalmatian, Smokey, in 1986. Since then, my beloved cats Scribbles, Felix, Pudgy and my beloved dogs Stitch, Maui and Hannah (2016) are resting there. I visit there and celebrate my wonderful years with them - in the tranquil beauty of Abbey Glen's grounds!
The staff is wonderful and has always made me feel special and comforted. They do an amazing job there and I say, "thank you"!
I feel at peace knowing my "babies" are there in this peaceful setting. This is how I want to memorialize my precious pets - surrounding them by beauty, one with nature!
